Your Colorado Rockies have little to srtive for at this stage of the season, aside from trying not to be quite as shitty as the Astros and just kind of being a pain in the ass to the Dodgers and the Giants.

L.A. and S.F. are in a dog fight at the top of the NL West and each seem to be struggling with the Rox, who are on a bit of a hot streak, having won 3 of their past 4 games and racking up two shutouts along the way.

They face the Giants twice more in thieir current series. Before 2012 is in the books the Rockies will play two more series with each team - which affords them the opportunity to play spoiler - and to have a say in who ultimately takes down the division.

So there's that.

A late Rockies run has become an annual rite.   It's time for them to get hot.
