Tom Nalen is without a doubt one of the most important players in the history of the Denver Broncos. His Ring of Fame honor is definitely deserved. 

The South Stands wishes to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tom Nalen for being named a member of the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame.

The team announced Nalen’s nomination today. The selection committee for the Ring of Fame includes Pat Bowlen, John Beake, Larry Zimmer and longtime coach Joe Collier. The most recent former Bronco named to the ring was the great Rod Smith. Nalen’s name will be added to the ring in late September.

Nalen will join Denver legends Floyd Little, Lionel Taylor, Goose Gonsoulin, Rich Jackson, Gerald Phipps, Frank Tripucka, Charley Johnson, Paul Smith, Billy Thompson, Haven Moses, Craig Morton, Jim Turner, Randy Gradishar, Tom Jackson, Louis Wright, John Elway, Karl Mecklenburg, Steve Atwater, Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe and Rod Smith.

He will be the only of these players ever to have appeared on the South Stands Denver Fancast, making him the very best one.

We could not be more happy for Tom who is every bit as wonderful a person as he was a center for the Broncos. Hip, hip HOORAY!

Tribute turns into lawsuit for Denver Broncos fan.

The ridiculousness of "Fax Gate" leaves many wondering how this could happen.

The Denver Broncos have gone from 4-12 to 13-3 in a mere two seasons and have John Elway to thank. His approach to free agency simply works, and it's only a matter of time until he leads the Broncos back to another Super Bowl.

At NFL.com the latest mock draft has internet sensation and Heisman Trophy candidate Manti Te'o winding up a Bronco. Prepared by analyst Bucky Brooks, the mock has Denver selecting Te'o with the 28th overall pick.

This is a positive sign for the Denver sports media. Tim Tebow has been gone for almost a whole year. Can lightening strike twice in the form of another ESPN First Take superstar? All signs point to "yes".

Elway and Company met with young Te'o at the NFL combine and came away impressed. Linebacker DJ Williams is widely believed to be a goner, either via trade or by outright release. The Broncos could use some talent at linebacker.

Whether or not they need a catfish of a distraction is debatable, but T'eo could provide solid value as a result of his weird situation.

What's disconcerting is that this mock draft has Eddie Lacy, the Alabama running back, going two picks later to the Falcons.

CBS will host the NFL Honors this evening in a two-hour TV special beginning at 7pm MST.

The honors presented will be: Coach of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the year, Fantasy Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, Never Say Never Moment of the Year, FedEx Air and Ground players of the Year, Greatness on the Road Award, Play of the Year, Salute to Service Award, Defensive Player of the Year and ... yes ... AP Most Valuable Player. 

Broncos Country is holding its collective breath. Will Peyton Manning be the first Bronco named MVP since Terrell Davis in 1998?

Manning seems to be the favorite, but Adrian Peterson can't possibly be far behind. It would not be shocking to see Purple Jesus pull this one out. That would be just one more kick in the face for Broncos fans who, after seeing their team secure the top seed in the AFC, practically assumed that it would be in tomorrow's Super Bowl.
