ELECT! Smokin' Jay Cutler

This election day cast our ballot for one of the greatest sports memes of all, Smokin' Jay Cutler. We're not late to the "party" on this one, we caught onto Smokin' Jay a couple of months back. But, on a day when politics are filling out timelines on Twitter, it's fun to take some time out for some pure silliness.

The site claims to be "dedicated to the most apathetic looking athlete in the history of sports".

It's a great time killer. If you've been to the polls already and you have a little time to kill this afternoon, pay it a visit HERE~!

Reidy's latest column: Forgiving Jay Cutler

Resident Sports Columnist, John Reidy contributes to the A/V Club Denver/Boulder with his weekly piece titled "Jock Itch".

It's Bears week, so the current edition confronts Denver's strained relationship with quarterback, Jay Cutler.   Here are some select quotations:

"Denver fans are now boning up on their potty talk to welcome another prodigal son back to the Mile High City"

"It’s too bad, because as the Tebow train keeps rolling, Cutler will be on the sidelines watching it pass him by."

"I think the time has come to forgive Jay Cutler. That’s right—in the spirit of the holiday season, let’s let bygones be bygones and give Jay Cutler a pass"

Forgive Jay Cutler?  What is Reidy thinking?  Read his entire column RIGHT HERE.  Be sure and leave lots of nasty comments so that his editors know folks are clicking over.

News just hit the wire (and by "wire" we mean Twitter) that Kyle Orton was released by the Denver Broncos.  They didn't have to do that.  With the NFL trade deadline having passed, this is the only way for Orton to land with another team.  Kansas City, Houston and Chicago all recently lost their starters to injuries.  This move by the Broncos means that Kyle becomes the hottest free agent on the market by far.

Now Orton will have an opportunity to land squarely on his feet.  Broncos fans can be proud of their favorite team today.  This is an ultra high-class move - even if it is fiscally motivated.  Way to go!
