I remember some great Elway come-backs. I remember Mile High Magic. I have never seen anything like this.
These Broncos are an enigma.
We all doubted them today. Their luck ran out. It was over. They were down by ten with under 3 minutes on the clock.
We have seen this team do amazing things but this was impossible. The Bears had us beaten. Dead to rights. We were all just glad that the Raiders lost, too. It was beginning to look like the Chargers were going to be the miracle team that came from out of nowhere to win the AFC West.
Then...IT HAPPENED AGAIN! The Broncos, fueled by Tim Tebows' impossible optimism, Matt Prater's third leg and Marion Barber's silly mistakes, won in overtime, 13-10. Another verse ... same as the first.
Your Denver Broncos are 8-5. The AFC West is theirs to lose. They're headed for the playoffs. The impossible just keeps on happening.
We will doubt them again in week 18, Wild Card weekend, when the Broncos host the Steelers or the Ravens. We will be convinced that their run has come to an end. How many times can we be wrong?
This, the 2011 Broncos season, has been a season of a lifetime. who can forget this? A new coach. A new President - name Elway. A strange quarterback named Tebow. Don't ever forget this feeling, you guys.
