Seattle VS Philadelphia (-3) *Thursday*
The Eagles have little more to play for than pride (and Andy Reid’s job) as they are not a factor in the race for the post-season in the NFC. Vince Young gets another start at QB with Mike Vick down with injuries. They could also be without their star running back, McCoy. Still, the Eagles are road favorites VS the Seattle Seahawks, known for their vociferous home crowd.
Colin pick: Seattle +3
Reidy's pick: Seattle +3
Tennessee @ Buffalo (-1.5)
The Bills started their season off pretty well but the wheels have fallen off the wagons and now they are among the teams playing for little more than pride. This week they host the Tennessee Titans who, if things fall into place, could still win their division, the AFC South.
Colin’s pick: Buffalo -1.5
Reidy's pick: Tenn +1.5
Kansas City @ Chicago (-7)
It’s Tyler Palko VS Caleb Haney. Set your DVR’s, people.
Colin’s pick: Kansas City +7
Reidy's pick: Kansas City +7
Oakland @ Miami (-3)
The ‘Fins are no joke, pal. They might have started out 0-7 but since then they have made a turn around that makes even Tim Tebow say “damn”. This week they host the AFC West leading Oakland Raiders. Can we get a “Go Dolphins”?
Colin’s pick: Miami -3
Reidy's pick: Miami -3
Cincinnati VS Pittsburgh (-6.5)
In terms of playoff importance, it’s tough to top this clash between AFC North foes. The Bengals have come out of nowhere to make the North a three-team race. A loss this week at home to the hated Steelers could leave them on the outside looking in. We wish this line were 7.
Colin’s pick: Cincinnati +6.5
Reidy's pick: Cincy +6.5
Cleveland VS Baltimore (-6.5)
Here’s a question: How are the Ravens favored by the same 6.5 in Cleveland that the Steelers are in Cincy? Vegas is a strange and mysterious creature.
Colin’s pick: Baltimore -6.5
Reidy's pick: Voldemort -6.5
Washington VS NY Jets (-3)
Can the Jets claw their way back into Wild Card contention? They need wins badly. This week they travel to face the Redskins in Washington DC.
Colin’s pick: NY Jets -3
Reidy's pick: NY Jets -3
Houston VS Atlanta (-2.5)
The Texans couldn’t possibly be home dogs in this week’s match-up with the Falcons if they hadn’t lost not one, but two quarterbacks. Houston has had it’s share of bad news this year but they still lead the Titans in the AFC South. IF they are to take advantage of the death of the Colts they need to keep the Titans in their rear-view.
Colin’s pick: Atlanta -2.5
Reidy's pick: Atlanta -2.5
Carolina @ Tampa Bay (-3.5)
Not every week 13 game has playoff implications. This one certainly doesn’t but it could still be a decent watch. We love that Cam Newton.
Colin’s pick: Carolina +3.5
Reidy's pick: Carolina -3.5
Detroit @ New Orleans (-9)
The Lions were the darlings of the NFL for the first part of the season. They have been falling apart at the seams a bit, but they do still have a ton of talent. Speaking of talent, they travel to New Orleans this week to face a Saints offense that can score at will.
Colin’s pick: Detroit +9
Reidy's pick: NO -9
Denver @ Minnesota (-1.5)
It’s difficult to place a line on this game without knowing whether or not Adrian Peterson is going to play. At this stage it looks as if he probably won’t, though. The Broncos may open up the passing attack a little more this week to take advantage of the suspect Viking secondary.
Colin’s pick: Denver +1.5
Reidy's pick: Denver +1.5
St Louis @ San Francisco (-13)
This isn’t the biggest line of the week. Everybody can guess which game has that distinction. It is a monster, though, as the very disappointing Rammies head into the City by the Bay to be eviscerated by the Niners.
Colin’s pick: St Louis +13
Reidy's pick: STL +13
Arizona VS Dallas (-4.5)
The Cardinals host the NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys in what has become a bit of a heated rivalry. Kevin Kolb is expected to return to the lineup for the Cards.
Colin’s pick: Dallas -4.5
Reidy's pick: Dallas -4.5
NY Giants VS Green Bay (-7)
The Packers look to remain undefeated as they travel to face the Giants who are desperate for a win in order to keep the Cowboys within their sight in their division. Will this be the week the Packers finally lose?
Colin’s pick: NY Giants +7
Reidy's pick: Green Bay -7
Indianapolis @ New England (-20)
This probably looked like a fine choice for NBC’s prime-time match up back in August. It doesn’t look that way now. 20 points is the largest line we can recall in an NFL game in many, many years.
Colin’s pick: New England -20
Reidy's pick:New England -20
Jacksonville VS San Diego (-2.5)
The Chargers are crappy but they are not too crappy to be road favorites versus the even crappier Jagwads.
Colin’s pick: San Diego -2.5
Reidy's pick: San Diego -2.5
