It's a damn shame, really. Things have been so damn positive since Masai and Josh shipped Carmelo out of here. The Nuggets have looked like a team - a real team. They've played defense; they have run the floor; they have passed the ball. Aside from a couple of lossed to the OKC Thunder they ended the regular season on a bonafide roll.
Now the Nuggets are in the playoffs and the wheels are coming off. Down two games after two games, the Nuggets return home tomorrow night in turmoil. JR Smith and George Karl are at odds after getting destroyed in game two. The Nuggets have some pride, though - enough not to get swept. They'll win game 3 at Pepsi Center. Sadly, they will lose game 4 at home. Game 5 in OKC will then be an easy win for the Thunder.
Oh, I hope I am wrong. I really do. But, at this stage of the series it feels like Thunder in 5.
