Raiders wide reciever Louis Murphy as arrested in Gainesville, Florida over the weekend for illegal posession of a prescription drug: Viagra.
Why a 23 year old athlete would require 11 Viagra capsules is anybody's guess. We're just thankful for the story. According to
the Gainesville Sun , Murphy and his entourage refused to pull over for a cop. Instead of complying with the officer, the group pulled into a city parking lot, hopped out of Murphy's Escalade, and proceded to walk away from the cop. Always a brilliant move.
After Murphy agreed to allow his vehicle to be searched, officers discovered a
"non-labeled prescription bottle containing 11 individual pills later identified as Viagra." Murphy explained to the cop that the bottle was not labeled because he "did not want his girfriend to know he had a presciption". Well, apparently he didn't. That's why he was arrested.
Perhaps the funniest aspect of this story is the fact that Murphy was arrested in the first place. When an NFL player, a Raider no less, and his groupies have their Escalade searched and all that turn up is a bottle of boner medicine the real headline should be "no weed in Raiders car". Like the Raiders, Louis Murphy just can't win.
