On Saturday I asked the question: "Should John Elway buy the island?"
Today there's some evidence that Revis-to-Broncos talk is more than just some silly blogger's way of trying to get attention. According to RotoWorld, Peter King, the ubiquitous writer from Sports Illustrated, thinks that John Elway will in fact make a push to land the superstar cornerback in a deal with the New York Jets.
What would the Broncos be willing to surrender? Well, Elway saw the team give up Clinton Portis, at the time one of the most sensational runners in the NFL, for Champ Bailey. That move clearly worked out for the Broncos. Perhaps Elway sees Revis as the "next" Champ. Maybe #7 saw his club get burned one too many times in that Ravens game.
Elway has demonstrated that he can recruit with the best of them. Can he work a deal for Revis? Stay tuned, Broncos Country.
