Do you remember when Brady Quinn was the backup QB in Denver behind Kyle Orton? It wasn't that long ago. And do you remember when, even though Brady Quinn was the number two, Tim Tebow was named the starter for the Broncos in 2011?
The same thing just happened to the number two QB for the New York Jets. The poor guy held a clipboard all season long, even came in for a handful of plays, and has now been eclipsed by some guy with a name like a golfer, Greg McElroy.
Mark Sanchez got benched after an attrocious five-turnover Monday nigh performance in Tennessee. But was Tim Tebow named the starter? Oh, no. He got Quinned.
To be Quinned means that the number three jumped ahead of you when it was "go time". That's not a good thing. And it can't be a make Tebow feel realt great.
Perhaps now he knows what was eating at Quinn and why he talked to those magazine people.
