Butch Jones definitely maybe possibly accepts CU job or absolutely not

It's another fun afternoon in Colorado - especially if you're following the CU coaching saga on Twitter.

The Denver Post announced about a half hour ago that University of Cincinnati HC Butch Jones had accepted the CU job. Channel 9 even piped in, adding that John Elway, Peyton Manning and John Fox had offered their assistance in luring Jones, who is Mike Bohn's "man".

Now National outlets, including Sports Illustrated are saying "not so fast". Jones apparently told one reporter that the reports are "absolutely untrue".

The media is being taken on another wild ride.

For two weeks in March reporters dealt with a similar situation as everyone waited and wondered whether the Broncos would get their "man". I am referring, of course to Peyton Manning who did eventually sign on the dotted line.

My guess is that Jones is coming - and that he has made an oral commitment to the Buffs - but that he hasn't had time to soften the blow back in Cincy. The more he denies it, though, the more angry people will be when they find out the truth.

Meanwhile, let's all sit back and enjoy the show as the local media jockeys to firm up the story. Fun stuff.
