Josh Rutledge was just called up. Helton went on the 15 day D.L., opening up a roster spot for 23 year-old.

He joined the Rockies for the very first time last night.
They're undefeated with Rutledge in the lineup. They manhandled the Phillies 6-2 and Rutledge batted .1000. He stole a base, too. 

Rutledge had two at-bats. Each of them resulted in the Rockies taking the lead in the ballgame.  It was a dream come true for him - and for female Rockies fans, who find him pretty dreamy.

Rutledge is as all-American as they come. He's got a square jaw, chiseled features and blonde hair just long enough to stick out from the back of his cap. The Rockies seem to have found themselves a winner on the field and a heartthrob who can help fill seats.

But, ladies of Denver, he's taken.

His betrothed is Laura McKeeman, a one-time second runner up for the crown of Ms. Florida and a broadcaster for Fox Sports Florida. She's not so bad, herself.  So...you'll have to settle for watching him get to second base without you.
